PUBLIC NOTICE:
LOCAL
ROAD RECONSTRUCTION
on
Ronan Avenue from
Lawrence Avenue East to Roslin Avenue
Anticipated Construction Start Date: May 2010
Anticipated Construction Completion Date:
August 2010
The City
of Toronto (North York District) Technical Services is
in the process of calling public tenders for road
reconstruction and replacement of water service on Ronan
Avenue from Lawrence Avenue East to Roslin Avenue.
The work
will include rehabilitation of asphalt road surface, sub
drain construction, top soil, sod, sidewalk, driveway
and boulevard restoration as required. All existing
water services smaller than 19mm will be replaced to the
street line with new 19mm copper services.
Residents
are further advised that private installations such as
planted landscaping, irrigation systems and/or lighting
features that are located within the City property may
be in conflict with the construction process. To avoid
unnecessary damage to private installations, owners may
remove these at their own cost prior to construction.
The City is not responsible for damage to any private
property within the City’s road allowance.
Driveway
restorations are generally within City’s property
limits. If due to road work any part of the private side
of the driveway is required to be removed then those
section of driveways will be restored. A separate letter
will be sent to the residents whose driveways are going
to be impacted.
Local
access to residents will be maintained at all times with
lane restrictions as required to complete the works
safely. Access to private driveways will also be
ensured during the execution of the works. Access for
all services (i.e. garbage collection, emergency
vehicles or any other usual services) will be
maintained. Every effort will be made to complete all
works under this project with minimum inconvenience to
public.
It is
anticipated that construction will be initiated in May
2010 and is expected to be completed by August 2010,
weather permitting.
Further
notice will be given prior to construction with a more
accurate start date and other information regarding the
work. Your assistance and co-operation during the
construction period is crucial and appreciated.
